Check-in: Weigh-in 7:30 - 8:30 am
Start Time: 10:30 am or when bracketing is complete.
Running Order: Weigh-ins will be the morning of competition from 7:30 - 8:30am. There will be no early weigh-ins.
COMPETITION
General Rules: USAW rules apply for all folk style matches. USAW membership is not required. Wrestlers may participate in one division only. Changes may be made on Saturday due to scratches or errors.
Small mats for grades K – 6th. Regulation mats for 7th grade – Grand Masters.
All females will wrestle males at weight level. Matches will be 1-1-1 in length, unless otherwise stated the day of the event.
Brackets: 5-8 wrestlers..........8 man bracket 3-5 wrestlers..........Round Robin 2 wrestlers.............Best 2 of 3 matches
Definitions: Weight Classes: Grades K-2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8, 9&10, 9-12, Modified, Masters & Grand Masters have no specific weight classes. Wrestlers will be placed in brackets with other wrestlers of comparable weight. On entry form please state your approximate weight for planning. Large wrestlers over 285 lbs. will be paired as possible, but approximately 40 lb weight difference will be observed for safety.
Divisions: (Grade completed during current school year)
Modified Folkstyle: Over 18 years of age and did not wrestle in high school during the 200-2009 school year. Masters Folkstyle: Ages 30 & Over Grand Masters: Ages 40 & Over
Equipment: A reversible wrestling singlet is recommended but shorts and t-shirt or tank top are acceptable. No clothing may be "baggy". Wrestling shoes or non-marking tennis shoes are required for safety reasons.
