COMPETITION

General Rules:
USA Volleyball (USAV) rules apply. Rules include matches scored by rally scoring for pool and tournament play. Rule modifications by division of competition will be provided to the team representatives in the confirmation letter. Numbered team shirts are required for all scholastic divisions. Adult teams using libero players must also have numbered uniforms.

WISCONSIN RESIDENTS ONLY.

 

Format:
Pool play determines advancement and seeding into a single-elimination tournament. Number of teams advancing from each pool will be determined by total number of teams registered in each division. Divisions may be combined together for pool play. Combined divisions may advance into an upper and lower division single-elimination tournament. Each division only plays one day.

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

Rosters:
Team rosters must have a minimum of six players. Adult players are allowed to play in a Male/Female division and one Co-ed division, but not in two levels of the same division.

Suggestion: Limit to one USAV AA player per A/BB level roster, and one USAV BB player per B roster. Freshmen/Sophomores allowed on Junior/Senior rosters, but not vice versa. WIAA out of season eligibility rules apply to scholastic divisions.

Two substitutions are allowed per roster, on-site prior to the first game. No additions to roster after they have been submitted to the BSG office. You may pay for additional roster holders if you anticipate adding players. To receive t-shirts onsite, roster holders must be replaced with a player name by June 9. Others will receive t-shirts by mail 4 - 6 weeks after the event.

Forms:
All teams must submit one Team Roster form. Both sides must be filled out completely. Any athlete listed without an accompanying waiver signature will not be eligible. Coaches and/or anyone wishing to sit on the bench must sign the waiver. In addition to mailing in your roster, please bring a photocopy of your signed waivers to your competition.
