*Elite Level – Elite teams, open competition. Recommended WAHA levels 1A, 2A or similar.
 
**Intermediate Level – Intermediate level teams. Recommended WAHA levels 3A, 2B or similar

COMPETITION
 
General Rules:
All teams must submit a copy of their USA Hockey Roster when arriving at the rink for their first game.

USA Hockey rules apply. For a complete set of rules, see the Games Youth Hockey rules. Referees are USA Hockey certified. This is a USA Hockey sanctioned tournament.
 
WAHA registered teams - Players must not be affiliated in anyway with WIAA. WAHA high school teams must be comprised of players that are currently enrolled in high school.

USA Hockey, WAHA
 
Format:
Random draw determines position in pool. Pool winners determined through points. Bracket play will determine Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.
 
Four game guarantee.  

Point Format:
Points will be awarded during the game as follows:
1 point for winning period (scoring the most goals in a period) if a period ends in a tie, ½ point will be awarded to each team. All periods are scored independently.
 
At the end of the game the following points are awarded:
4 points for winning the game
2 points for a tie (no sudden death overtime period or shootout except in medal game)
0 points for a loss (teams would earn any points awarded during the game)
 
Example: A team could earn a maximum of 7 points if they: out scored the other team in each period and won the game.
 
 
Equipment:
All players and goalies are required to wear approved equipment by USA hockey rules
