The January issue of SportsEvents Magazine, a national publication committed to helping organizers run more successful events, featured the American Family Insurance Badger State Winter Games along with the Steamboat Springs Winter Festival in Colorado and the Empire State Games in New York, in their cover story on Winter Festivals

“The coverage in SportsEvents demonstrates that the dedication and hard work of all the participants, volunteers and communities involved have really contributed to the overall success of the Games and notoriety they’ve received not only in Wisconsin, but across the Nation,” said Ron Vincent, Executive Director for Wisconsin Sports Development.

“It was quite an honor to be featured in a publication distributed to peers across your industry,” said Vincent. “There are a lot of people putting time and efforts into these Games and Wisconsin residents are fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in one of the best in the Nation.”

The cover features Jim Stevens, retired physical education instructor from Cottage Grove, WI in the American Family Insurance Badger State Winter Games Quadrathlon. Other photos include Nordic Skiing and Ski Jumping. A link to the article can be found at http://www.sportseventsmagazine.com/snowsports.html.
