- Event Date: Saturday, July 18, 2009 start of race 10:00 am
- What: Teams or individuals canoe a course in Lake Mendota, portage their canoes across the Isthmus (around the State Capitol Building) and canoe across Lake Monona.
- Who: Navigators (Paddle and Portage volunteers) are needed in several areas
- Where: Start of race is James Madison Park; Finish line is Olin-Turville Park
